This rare console table from the artisan workshops of Cantù (Italy) combines industrial materials with refined craftsmanship.  It has a long rectangular body resting on iron supports and is fitted with three drawers finished in wood and formica.  Cantù is synonymous with Italian furniture and boasts a 150‑year tradition of sophisticated woodworking. The console bears a manufacturer’s mark and is dated 1952, testifying to its provenance.
